I always am looking for ammo when I'm out and about. But anymore people are selling ammo at 2x what its worth. Today i was out at a antique/gun/odds sale and saw some 22lr ammo for 65$ a Brick!!!! like what the heck? I like to shoot it and all, but surplus Mosin ammo is only 89$ for 440 rounds. I also saw some 9mm and this guy wanted 18$ for 50 rnd in a plastic bag. He said "so do you want it"? I was like no..... but somebody else will surely buy it in ten seconds. I don't pay more money for something just because its out of stock right now. And these 9mm rounds had mixed headstamps and were all scratched up. I used to pay $16 for good ammo. Because it's like I allways says "A nickle unspented is worth more to the guy who spented his own" Ohhh boy

Justin,
Up here the cost of casings, projectiles, powder and primers up here can be all over the map. Just have to shop around the different vendors at local gun shows.

Hey les do you reload? I have been trying to figure out if its cheaper to reload or just buy it. Not any more I used to years ago. Now I just make Rifle Cartridge pens using real casing and projectiles that I sell. Les

I am a target shooter myself. I enjoy shooting frozen milk jugs and steel targets and stuff. I also love hunting, but target shooting is my true favorite hobby. It's so hard anymore though, because whenever I go to the store for ammo the answer is always out of stock. So I just search online ammo carriers. Does anybody know where to get some affordable 22lr ammo?

I don't know how much you all shoot, but if you want to know where to get ammo check out Ammo To Go.com they have lots of different calibers for sale. They don't have everything in stock right now but if you find some ammo there they are easy to deal with. I have made two orders from them already.

Reloading is the way to go, but that doesn't help out with .22 ammo. I'm moving my reloading station from my wood shop to my basement. Just bought a big old desk to set it up on. Hope to have everything in place this week.

Hope to have everything in place this week. I want to get into reloading but it seems everybody is out of stock on the materials. I would like to reload my 9mm because I already have about 300 rounds of brass. Do you know a good place to get the material?

It's a bit difficult right now. A friend of mine bought a reloading kit from Lyman and had to wait for a couple of months before they shipped it. We also had to wait for powder and primers and we are still waiting for bullets.

I looked at MidwayUsa and they had some in stock but it was priced above the reasonable amount. I am looking at the lee pro 1000 they have one set up for 9mm already. And that is a bonus. I would just want 124gr fmj's for my reloads. Because I am only looking for range ammo.

Finally ammo is coming down in my town. You still can't find 22lr's but I can get 9mm for $20 for 50rnds. And if you check walmart fairly regularly you can get 223 for $5.47 per 20 round box.
How about you guys?
