This shouldn't be possible. Former Army Ranger sniper Ryan Cleckner is a long-range rifle instructor in West Texas, and he was getting sick of requests to show off his skills with the Barrett M107 sniper rifle. The guys at Texas Triggers were bugging him to shoot "off-hand" (meaning from a standing position instead of lying down), and Ryan finally obliged, modestly assuring them that he wouldn't hit anything. Boy, was he wrong. It takes an obscene level of skill just to get close. But Cleckner hit his target at 1,000 yards — that's more than half a mile — with just one shot (at 1:15 in the video above). When the zombie apocalypse hits, we want Cleckner to be our new best friend. long distance standing shot........

Wow. That is a long way. Those things would beat the crap out of you shooting them! I will tell you what, snipers have always and always will be the deadliest threat on a battlefield. He could be the next Simo Hayha.

We machined the bolts for the early Barrett in a small shop about 5 miles from the Barrett factory. I think they make all their parts in house now.

Don't remember what the bolt started out as but we also made the bolt carriage and it started as a hexagon about 3" X 8" as I remember. Lots of 4th axis work on the carriage.

Man that's amazing! He must have really strong arms, I have trouble holding a ten pound rifle up let alone a 35 pound gun. I bet those guys were Thunderstuck . My 3rd cousin has a single shot 50 BMG. I'll have to try that. Thanks alot for showing us that Sid.
