With a .308 center band and a .308 for the cap. Need the center band to prevent the cross refill cap from bottoming out on finial stud when the refill is retracted. Cleaned the .308 projectile and .308 casings with Brasso, polished with Fitz, wiped down with lacquer thinner, plugged .308 casing necks with Play-Doh, plugged projectile nib with bees wax and applied 4 coats of lacquer using my "Dipping Method". These have been great sellers at the gun shows! Les

Hey Les. Those are really cool, I bet you do sell alot of those. Do you need a special kind drill bit to do those?

Really? I thought would need you need a-lot more. Do you have any trouble with the finish coming off? Matt made one awhile back and showed it to me, and he said his finish came of in about three weeks. I think he used lacquer also. One thing was he used steel casings. Would that make any difference?
