I spent the day at Old Man's Cave/Cedar Falls in the Hocking hills. If you ever come near southeast Ohio it is a place you can't afford to miss! Here are some pictures.... Here is some rock walls just southeast of Old Man's cave. The wall was huge. About 60 or 70 feet tall. The picture doesn't do it justice. Here are some small falls near the much larger Cedar Falls. Here is an interesting one of Cedar Falls. Cedar Falls has no cedars around it though. Since I am wanting to go into forestry I can't help but stop myself of taking pictures of every odd tree I find... I spent the entire day there and enjoyed it a lot. A good way to spend a Thursday!

Here is one of Ash Cave, which is nearby. You can see how high it is, the people in the background are about five and a half or six feet tall.

Thanks for the report and the pictures. I'll have to try visiting there sometime. Do they have hiking and bicycling trails there? It looks like something my wife and I would really enjoy.

They have quite a few hiking trails there as well as few places to ride a bike. There are some very nice trails (Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, etc.) But the Old Man's Cave trail is dangerous. I should have taken a picture of the trail. Next time I get up there I will have to. There are some spots that you are standing on the edge a 20 foot cliff with about three feet of ground from the edge and a rock wall. But if you stay to the other ones it isn't bad. They don't want you to go off the trails but people do it all the time. The most interesting areas are off limits, but I have been to a few of them. The trail to Old man's Cave is more dangerous than most of them!
If you have google earth you can look it up, just type in 19852 State Route 664, Logan, Ohio 43138 and search. It will show you the main office and parking. There is also a very nice restaurant there but they are expensive. It is the Old Man's Cave lodge. Nearby there is another state park, Lake Hope, that has good fishing if that's your thing.I wish they would let you fish in the stream below Cedar Falls. It has about three or four foot deep water for a long way out.
If you know where Lancaster or Logan is you can find it fairly easily.
