Here is something that I think is worthy to share.  If someone is in a self-defense situation the afterwards can be financially devastating even if you are found in the innocent by the courts.  The ACLDN is a network that helps its members with the legal fees should a situation arise when they need to defend themselves.  It covers the court costs and lawyers fees up to $150,000.00 at this time.  The cost to join is $125.00 per year and $50.00 per member to add a family member who is living with you.  I think this is a very reasonable cost and I have joined.  They also offer DVDs that come with membership.

Looks like a good idea. With the people nowadays you never can tell what will happen. It wold be a very good idea for all CCW holders to join. I bet that must be rough for the anti life people who say that it gives someone a "license to kill" and "wild west" and "diplomatic immunity" and all the usual screaming of their outlandish ideas.
I think the worse part about having to defend yourself is not the event, because if you make it away unharmed, your just fine. But in many cases, they prosecute you just to be politically correct. I sincerely hope no one ever has to use their services, but I know many prosecutors in places around the country think that you should not be able to defend yourself.

Honestly, I say if you don't support laws allowing someone to stand their ground in an attack, you might as well tell them not to even bother trying to defend themselves. It won't do you ANY good if you are being robbed, the robber has a knife to your chest, and have to turn around and run away before you can fire on your attacker. You'd be killed. But if you are under no such obligation to cower you can grab their knife and fire.
