Anyone here saving for a new gun? Got any new ones you wanted to share? Anyone got any planned purchases for 2014? I'm saving for an G3 clone myself.

I'm hoping to get a Springfield 1911. I'm looking into the blued mil-spec model. Can't wait! Justin

I just sold my Springfield 1911 a couple of months ago. I'd like to get the Ruger Commander 1911. It is one beautiful gun. There are just so many guns out there that are calling out to me and wanting a good home that I'm not sure which one will be my next one. In addition to the one I just mentioned there is the Ruger 1022 that is a cool shooter and plinker, the Henry .22 rifles - both pump and lever action are winners too, American Arms mini revolvers are cool, I'd also like a new shotgun, maybe the Remington 870 in 20 gauge. And there are many many others. Not sure what will be the next one.
I have come to the conclusion of what makes a gun nut like me satisfied. ONE MORE GUN!

I would highly recommend a Henry 22 lever action. I have one of the H001T models (Octagon barrel with enameled receiver) and have never been more satisfied with a rimfire in my life. I can easily nail spent 20 gauge shells at 30 yards all day long with bulk ammo. I will get some pictures up soon (Been wanting to do a better review, Now I got an excuse ).

Those rock Rohn.
Is that your springfield in the picture?
Whatever brand, I love the parkerizing on it. Nothing beats the look of a 1911!

I sold it a couple of months ago. It was just too heavy for concealed carry and I decided to let it go and buy something smaller. I am hoping to replace it with a Ruger 1911 when I can. ruger.com/products/sr1911/specSheets/6702.html

Those look good. What barrel length are you going to go with?
I am a big 1911 fan. I like certain polymer frame guns, but the 1911's are very nice. I am a lot better shot with a 1911 with combat sights than with one of the newer style block sights.

I'll probably go with the shorter barrel because it will be easier to carry concealed.

I guess you sold the last one so that would make sense. Good luck on the Ruger.
