Well the last frost for our area has passed, so it means planting time for anyone lower than 5.a. We planted sweet potatoes, peppers, radishes, sweet corn, potatoes, and onions. We are also planting a watermelon patch this year.
I would like to hear from members on what they planted, or any comments.
Thanks, Matt D.

Yea, we are just now getting some rain today.I have wondered about something, do you think if I planted some butternut squash in the woods that it would get enough light? The spot I was thinking has about 3 to 4 hours of light a day. It is right by our three dogs' kennels so that should provide pretty good protection.I was just thinking that I should put them down there because it seem like no matter how bad a drought the soil usually stays moist.

If I were you I'd give it a try. Seeds are cheep and they will probably do just fine. I'm not sure what part of OH you are from but it's not raining here in Niles. Hope it does though because it sure is dry, and my garden is in so it needs the rain.

Now I am not sure but is Niles in the norhtwest? We are near West Virginia. Within an hour of Marietta. Well we are scheduled to get some rain today and we got some in the early hours of the day. Supposed to be some thunderstorms too.
