What do you think of this Government shutdown? I feel sorry for the Govt. employees and businesses that are affected by it. But it is far better to have the shutdown than to have Obama Care. Obama care will completely ruin all that is left of our beloved country. I hope the GOP stands FIRM and holds without budging one bit. We must put a stop to the plans of our enemies in the WH if we are going to survive as a free country.

I'll tell you, I feel sorry for most of the government employees too, but if "The Affordable Care Act" (Obamacare) comes into effect, then we are in it pretty deep. It is the first act of socialism which WILL lead to worse if we allow them. That is the entire purpose of the second amendment. Not only do we have the right to replace those who seek to enslave us, we have the obligation. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, (ACA) is only a mile marker on a long road to a domain for one man to rule. We have the obligation to remove them if we must. I believe america is better than this. We shouldn't be dominated by a few who go against what we elected them for. Their only purpose in life is to gain power by taking ours away, and if they don't stop, they will lose what is most dear to them, their power.

I think the government shutdown is something that was bound to happen sooner or later. The congress makes a budget, then the president vetos it or the Senate votes it down. It could go on forever.
The Republicans thought that Obama and the democrats would compromise, because if a budget isn't reached the government will shutdown. But the democrats were more than willing to let the government shutdown. It is an opportunity to blame the GOP.
The problem that the republicans have is that they compromise too soon. They worry people will blame them for things like this and then they give in because they want to get voted for in the next election. Here's the thing, the Republicans will always be blamed. They need to stand up for what they believe in.
One strategy that some republicans want to try, is to let the democrats have their way, for awhile anyhow. When Obamacare is fully implemented, people won't think it's such a great thing.
I'm not sure what the GOP should do, but what ever they choose they better stick to it. If it was me I would always vote for what I believe in. I wouldn't be afraid of losing my position. If I was elected to be a Republican then I'm sure as heck going to one.
