This is INSANE! First of all he is 13 years old. Secondly it was only a airsoft gun. If you have ever seen an airsoft gun you would know that it is made for kids so they can shoot each other. It isn't a pellet gun, and it sure as heck not a real gun.
The school should be ashamed of themselves and fix this immediately.

This is one reason we are in such a bad shape in this country. These people are educating our children? How stupid can they be??? I home schooled my children and glad I did. I brought my children up shooting guns and hunting. Today they are successful adults. This school and those responsible should be put out of the country for such actions. It is none of the school's business what kids or their parents do at home. When I was a kid we used to take our guns to school and hunt on the way home. No one was ever shot. Our freedoms are gone.

This is crazy. First of all when the school says its zero tolerance policy extends to private property, that is just BS. Unless it is a federal law that a member of a public school can't shoot a gun in his parents yard, he can do whatever he wants. I think the parents here have a good legal case because they can prove it was an airsoft gun. And, plus it was there own property. Legal definition of a gun is "A device that expels a projectile by means of explosive." So if they took the school to court, they almost couldn't lose.
And what was the neighbors problem? They called 911 because they saw a kid with a airsoft gun. I think they are the kind of person that couldn't tell a bannana from a crossbow bolt.
