That is a good one. It brought a smile to me here. In OH it is legal to bait, but in PA it is absolutely against the law. If they find where someone has baited they will arrest anyone hunting in that area and then they post the land and nobody can hunt it. If you put out salt blocks they must be taken down long before season opens and not salt residue can be left behind or you can be arrested for hunting over bait. I personally think PA pushes that law way to far.
I know one fellow who was hunting on his own land but he was next to his neighbor's land and his neighbor had dumped apples in the woods. The game warden came along and arrested my friend for hunting over bait even though the bait wasn't on his property where he was hunting.

It is dumb how much they bother over such things. It is like the plugs in shotguns here in Ohio. You are only allowed to have three shells in your shotgun. No more. Like they think someone is going to rapid fire on a deer or something, and the not having more than three shells will help that. All I know is that if you are rapid firing on a deer, just tearing away, you won't care about the law that says you can only have three shells. It just won't matter to you.

It is crazy how different the regulations are from state to state. I grew up hunting in PA and in that state you are not allowed to have more than three shells in your shotgun for small game season but in deer season you can take out the plug and put in as many as the gun will hold. Here in OH it is the opposite. You can have as many as yoiu want for small game but the gun must be pluged to no more than 3 for deer. What is the point how many shell you have in your gun? ??

I know! The hunting laws are crazy around here sometimes. If they don't trust you with four rounds in your gun than why do they trust you with three?
