As you may remember in april we planted three 60 foot rows of silver queen corn. Here is what it looks like today You can't quite see the height from the picture but it is about seven to eight feet high. The fencepost is 6 foot tall. We have had four or five meals off of it so far and can pretty much have corn every night. It is a pretty good variety, sometimes they are a little skinny, but it has good flavor, and it is great raw. I actually prefer eating corn raw. . And this is the best variety for that, in my opinion.

Corn looks good Matt. Mine is doing real good too. I have a few rows planted where I live and then I have about a 25x25 foot plot of it planted at a friend's house. Mine is "Candy Corn."

Looks good! I have been getting corn from my 93 year old father. He puts a giant garden every year, over an acre! The only corn I have coming up is where the squirrels planned from their feeders. 5 or 6 stalks about 6 foot tall. I will let it stay and dry to feed it back to them. Guess I have mowed a few hundred down in the yard. LOL

He is 93 and he has a full acre garden?!! Wow he must be a tough guy! I don't think I could even handle one of those topsy turvy tomato plants.
