When you watch the news and see the amount of people who are raging, over the verdict of the trial of George Zimmerman for the shooting of Travon Martin, it really makes you think. Are there that many people who will not trust the justice system? I know it is not perfect, but in this case it was right. In the lack of evidence a man must be freed. But that is not good enough for the rioters in L.A. and in Atlanta. The thing I find strange is that this never happened in the many of the other shootings of this sort. But then I found the variable that was out-of-wack. The president and the others who politicized this. If he was a good man he would have stayed out of it. If a system has worked for almost 250 years, then don't screw it up by changing it. But he was always after what they are doing now. Reid, Holder, (and Very soon Barrack Obama,) are trying to use this for the removal of "stand your ground" laws, and after that, the castle doctrine completely.

Matt, It is a sad day in America when a man is found innocent by the jury because he defended himself, and the evidence proved he was innocent, but the president gets involved in the case. I believe that if the man who was killed was a white man it would never have made the news and there would never have been a court case. Our freedoms are fast slipping away.

I agree Rohn. I don't believe that all African Americans think Zimmerman was doing wrong by defending himself.
The thing that makes me sad is that some people will now hold a grudge against African Americans because of the protests that will come from this verdict.
But at least an innocent person wasn't convicted.

I don't think so either, Rohn. The mass of people that are rioting ( "No justice, No peace" ? ) are just masses of people that haven't really followed the trial, don't know any of the evidence, and don't care. Once they thought Zimmerman was a racist, then he was a guilty man to them. It is fine to make your own opinions, but don't take to the streets and threaten violence. They believe the president is sorry for Travon. But he is not. He is most likely happy. Because anything to get rid of your right to save your own life in a dangerous situation is good for him. He doesn't like our rights and wants to get rid of them, so Newtown and this are the two best things for his agenda. "It is better for a guilty man to go free, than for an innocent man to be found guilty." As the Romans said when they formed the court system which was the basis to our own.

I see that Buckeye Firearms is raising money to buy Zimmerman a new gun since his gun is not being returned to him at this time even though he was not convicted of any crime.

I thought someone said he would get it back? Probably not though. That is good some people will stand by him even though some hate him. I think he needs a few more now sadly, because of all the trouble he might have to move to the country.

That is great. I'm glad to see people willing to stand up for George. The thing that I like about this is that you can make your opinion clear. It's a protest of the protest. Justin

I see today the president said today that Travon Martin "could have been me" 35 years ago. I knew he was a bad president, but I never knew he attacked people and beat there heads on the sidewalk at night as Martin did. What an idiot. Why say that? Is he that dumb, or does he think no one listens anymore?
If only some people would use the minds that God gave them, then it would be so much easier on those of us who do.
And as I said in my original post he has already tried to go after the stand your ground laws. Now if someone like me who has never been in politics, nor will I ever, to be able to say what the president will do 4 days in advance, then it should be easy for every one else as well as me. He as already called for a closer look at the stand your ground laws.

You have really good point here. I never thought of this the way you have here. Since George Zimmerman has been found innocent in court, Travon Martin was in fault. And the court decided that Zimmerman's life was in danger so he had to defend himself. So If Obama was Travon, then he would have been the one trying to murder Zimmerman,so if you think about it you realize that Obama is saying he would have done the same as martin, and would have been justified in doing so. Good point.
